Beginnings - Photographed August 2008, Maui, Hawaii.
 
I took this photo standing on the pali looking towards South Maui, Molokini and Kahoʻolawe. It was the first photograph that I was happy with after starting out as a photographer in 2008, and looking at it reminds me of the connection I felt to the ocean while growing up in the islands.
